Official Admission Documents

How to Send your Official Documents

Official transcripts and any optional, supplemental materials such as personal essays, letters of recommendation or test scores should be sent directly to the undergraduate Office of Admission. See below for additional details.

College Transcripts

An official transcript from each college/university you have attempted credit must be sent as part of your admission file, even if credit was not earned.

  • NDUS Schools: Transcripts for North Dakota University System (NDUS) institutions do not need to be requested. NDSU will retrieve those transcripts provided there are no holds that prevent the release of it.
  • PSEO / CIS / Dual Credit: Students enrolled in PSEO / CIS / Dual Credit coursework must have college transcripts sent even if credits show up on the high school transcript. High school transcripts will not be used for college coursework.

How to Request: Contact each college or visit their website for specific instructions on how to request an official transcript.

Acceptable Delivery Methods: Postal mail or sent electronically through a secure transcript service such as Parchment or the National Student Clearinghouse. Unofficial or personal copies of transcripts will not be accepted.

High School Transcripts

How to Request: Ask your high school counselor or a school official to send your official transcript. Your transcript should be signed by a school official and include all coursework, grades, and graduation date, if applicable.

Acceptable Delivery Methods: Postal mail or sent electronically through a secure transcript service such as Parchment, Scoir, North Dakota e-transcript, or National Student Clearinghouse.
